While watching a taped performance of herself singing, Clarkson paused and questioned, “Who the f–k is that?” The 42-year-old star admitted that even her close circle of friends and colleagues hadn’t noticed the gradual weight gain, emphasizing the insidious nature of such changes.

Clarkson confessed that at the time, she weighed over 200 pounds, a reality she hadn’t fully grasped until that eye-opening moment. Despite this, she maintained a positive self-image, stating, “I was never insecure about it. I was happy…I just did not see that.” However, watching her performance triggered a sense of urgency, with Clarkson admitting, “I maybe should have known because I watched that show and I was like, ‘Any second now, she is going to die.'”

Inspired by Goldberg’s own weight loss success with medication, Clarkson revealed that she too had embarked on a similar path. While she chose not to disclose the specific medication, she assured it was not Ozempic, a popular weight loss drug. Instead, she described it as aiding in breaking down sugar, a function her body struggles with.
