Kendrick’s Double Whammy: Another Drake Diss Track Ignites the Feud

Kendrick Lamar isn’t playing around. Just days after unleashing the scathing “Euphoria,” he’s reloaded and fired off another blistering diss track aimed squarely at Drake. Titled “6:16 in LA,” this new salvo ruthlessly mocks Drake’s penchant for those introspective, time-stamped songs. It’s a bold move, and the heat is rising fast.

Lamar goes for the jugular on this one. He targets Drake’s OVO crew, painting them as opportunistic hangers-on: “Have you ever thought that OVO was workin’ for me? / Fake bully, I hate bullies, you must be a terrible person / Everyone in your team is whispering that you deserve it.” Even Drake’s viral dance hit “Toosie Slide” isn’t safe from Kendrick’s wrath – he taunts that Drake can’t dance his way out of this mess.

The diss track lays it bare: Lamar sees Drake’s entire entourage as vultures waiting to pick him clean. “If you were street smart, then you woulda caught that your entourage is only to hustle you / A hunnid n—-s that you got on salary, and 20 of ’em want you as a casualty,” he snarls. Ouch.

There’s an unexpected twist here. Jack Antonoff, known for his work with pop icons like Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey, co-produced this diss track alongside Lamar’s usual collaborator, Sounwave. This adds a whole new dimension to the beef.

The way this is playing out feels chillingly familiar. Lamar dropping two bombshells before Drake even gets a chance to retaliate? It echoes Drake’s ruthless 2015 takedown of Meek Mill with “Charged Up” and “Back to Back.” Even “Euphoria” hinted at this, with Lamar promising he’d circle back to that one. The gloves are officially off, and this is starting to feel like a classic rap rivalry in the making.
